Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins (born in Mexico) is the Mexican American journalist. She is currently employed by ESPN as a news anchor for SportsCenter and sometimes hosts SportsNation. She began working for ESPN in 2016. Her mother is television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bilingual and has been so since the age of nine. Her ability in this area allowed her to land her first position at Univision, Miami. She worked with national producers on programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. It was the CBS station in St. Petersburg hired her following this to become an sports reporter. Her move from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to work as a reporter on KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish stations KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. Reporting on stories on drug trafficking and immigration across the border of Mexico and Texas. On a trip Antonietta was staying at the house of her sister Canton Ohio. Her older Collins brother had recently been offered a new job. Antonietta was about to graduate from high school, but was already aware of her plans for what she would do. It was an amazing campus. The university also provided her with the major that she desired. After finishing high school, she decided to enroll at the university to pursue a degree with Media Studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station managing director at WRMU (91.1 FM), where she belonged. His passion for journalism and confidence in her own abilities encouraged her. In turn, she attempted to live up to the standards he set and to not disappoint him.
